Keep Pushing (It Is Not Over Yet)

I thought I would make it by now
A new day come and gone by
Yet, I am standing still like a cloud
Motionless and in need of a breeze

I thought I would make it by now
Spring came with bright colors and sweet water
Yet, my life seemed as dull as  dish water
Gloominess and going down south

I thought I would make it by now
Summer came and warmed our bodies and plants sprout
Yet, my body crouched down like a plant in need of light
Stagnant and fighting to rise

I thought I would make it by now
Fall came, serenaded us with beautiful colors and took away the summer heat
Yet, dimness seemed to fill my whole surroundings
Brightness fights to pierce through

Then came winter dressed in white like a bride
And the winterwhite of early morning covering dead brown weeds
Offering us beauty and innocence
Yet, my body look forward to the squishy earthmelt of April
Bright colors, radiant hope to reenergize my body
Ready to keep pushing till my breakthrough comes

Even though you are not yet where you supposed you would be by now, or have goals yet to be accomplished, all your toil is not wasted. A gardener does not stop watering and tending his plants even when growth is delayed. The gardener still waters them and pulls the weeds. Keep sowing and watering.  Harvest time will come soon.
